Hi Guys,

I replaced my HDD raid0 (2 disks) by a SSD.
I used an image of my old Win7pro64 and everything works fine.

Is there an advantage to replace my Intel raid driver by a MS ahci driver?

Thanks for your help.

Nobody knows what I have to do with the Intel driver and software?

Should I stay with the Intel raid driver only, I mean should I uninstall the Intel RST software only ?

Raid is AHCI so you're good. I always use the Manufacture of the board AHCI or raid and the RST

Fill out your specs in the user page

The RST software is useless now so I think I have to uninstall it !?

Nevertheless (for my knowledge only), who knows the right way to replace the raid driver by ahci?
1 . Uninstall the raid driver into the device manager
2. Replace the BIOS raid option by ahci

Is this working without BSOD at startup ?

Fill out your specs in the user page
I use 6 PC's, that's not easy to do...

Why would RST be useless? The reason I asked about your specs is to se if your board has a marvel controller. Unless you list your specs its just a guessing game

It runs useless processes from the RST service.
My MB has an Intel ICH10R chip and a Marvell 6121 but I don't use raid anymore...

RST has benefits for a single drive also, (although limited) if you don't like the icon you can kill that. Also don't run the SSD off the Marvell controller

On my Intel chip I have one SSD and one HDD, what are the benefits?

If you have a Problem with a PC it helps others to know the Spec's of the problem hardware
Just fill in those spec's that are relevant to your problem and enable public Viewing
You then take out the spec guessing by "PEOPLE TRYING TO HELP"

ps you can hide them later if you so chose

Obviously.... but my issue is not really a problem with a specific hardware because all my PC are working fine...

Once again, I'm only analyzing the possibility to replace an Intel raid driver by a MS (or Intel) ahci driver.

I've found : this !

Now I'm looking for someone who did it !

You'll have biggest benefits if you run them in hybrid mode using Romex PrimoCache. SSD will act as SSD cache and HDD will be the actual storage. This way you get capacity of HDD and almost performance of SSD across all data.

Not sure to understand what you mean.
Currently my Win7pro64 is on my SSD and all my data + temp + pagefile are on my HDD.
What the raid driver has to do with that?
