+1 I've seen these in action too. Solves the problem of using modern graphics cards with digital only outputs with a CRT monitor.

Yeah, no I get it. I was just confirming that they do work well and it's a good price for anyone wondering. The last one I bought was $30 usd for 1x. The prices he listed makes the 2*1 deal even better than the 1*2.

In what fashion? If it was being phased out, why would they still be making new standards? Currently HDMI 2.1 is the only one that can offer uncompressed 4K @ 120Hz without chroma-subsampling.

AFAIK, the only reason HDMI is still ubiquitous is that it supports HDCP; a "feature" that no end-user would care about but multimedia companies love.

Hdmi 2.1 is better than DP 1.4 (technically) but dp 2.0 should change that.
