I picked up a new head strap for my Quest 3—opted for the BoboVR Pro Super Strap. What an upgrade from the stock strap! Initially thought the fan was a gimmick, but now I'm sold—it's a must-have feature, haha. The new battery lasts significantly longer than the old B2 batteries for Quest 2. I had three of the old ones; this new battery outlasts all three combined, and it keeps the headset charged while in use.

Curious to hear what everyone else is using for their head strap and battery combo! Share your setups.

When I first picked up the Quest 3 I picked up the Zybervr Head Strap. It's a pretty decent head strap system. I have something kind of like it for my Quest 2. I used a small 10k mAh battery strapped to the back. The head strap system looked good and has been great. I then upgraded to the BOBOVR S3 Pro battery strap, which is the best strap I've used yet. A bit pricey but damn it's excellent. the battery is awesome.

I didn’t feel like I needed a "fancy" strap for my Q3 like I did for my 2 because it’s just so much lighter. So I just went with the regular “Elite” strap

My Titanium infused neck winces just looking at it
One of my many “this is better than 2” features is how it got smaller and lighter.
I had that style from BpBo for my 2.
Could you tell me what all is going on here?

@INSTG8R lol. The weight is not bad at all. lol. It's just the Bobovr strap with its battery in the back and a facial plate with a fan in it to cool me eyeballs when I'm getting hot. The facial interface is much more comfortable to me. The fan is just a bonus but the stock facial interface bothers my forehead. This one is much more comfy.

I'd like to add that I ride motorcycles and this thing is nothing compared to wearing a full-face helmet all day.

I actually love the new faciial interface compared to options on 2(hate pleather, meh on silicone)I actually ordered terry/jersey “covers" for my 2. (Again for me It’s “Better than the 2 feature)
I like the idea of the fan definitely(I’m “humid”) I could benefit from that. I know that strap definitely helps with extra weight and balance from my 2
I rode for years so I can also relate to helmets.

I like the facial interface material on the Quest 3 as well. It is definitely nicer than the 2. I found that it placed too much pressure on my forehead though, even with an aftermarket head strap (I own two) but it was still a ton better than when using the stock strap. This new facial interface though is more comfortable. It presses more evenly around my entire face without any major pressure on any one spot. It uses that pleather stuff though which I do not care for as much but all in all it's been a pleasure to use. I can play for much longer now.
