Hi there!

Hope I'm not the only moron here with a fetish for passive heatpipe cooling stuff. :)

As for me, I've got...

Abit KN9
- Silent OTES aluminium passive heatpipe technology

ZEROtherm BTF-95
- fully copper passive CPU heatsink with 8 pipes

Gigabyte 7600GT
- Silent Pipe II copper sink and radiator, aluminium intake

They are very nice and making one beefy rig, for sure.

Interesting cooler. ZEROtherm BTF-95 is actually 4 long pipes... folded. So long as the wicks are working properly, it might be OK... although I can imagine a scenario where all the fluid/vapour ends up in one and not the other fold. This would lead to non-symmetric cooling and hotspots.

If you use this device, I would encourage using a slow, silent fan in addition... just for safety... and extra cooling.

IF YOU REALLY LIKE PASSIVE COOLING... then you need to learn how to make your own coolers... and heat pipe system.

Yes, intake and exhaust fans are needed and used at moment. Passive coolers warm up faster than their heat could be exhausted when system is on (full) load. :(

Right now I'm doing that. Eg. ammonia could be easily accessed. :D
