Hello everyone, what HDMI cable do you recommend to connect a PC(5090 GPU) with a 120HZ TV?

fibbr hdmi 2.1 , try it.
Or find products with this technology “Optical Fiber HDMI Cable”
I tried more than 10 meters without any problems, and even turned it several 90 degrees in the middle.

That'll cost a pretty penny if he does not need the length.

Any certified 48gbps cable wil do for a short (8 ft or less) run.

Only HDMI 2.1 can give you 48Gbps and display 4K@120Hz 12-bit color without DSC.

fibbr Optical Fiber HDMI Cable 9.84ft
Price around $22.xx USD
This shouldn't be a big waste of money.

If one can afford a RTX 5090, ...... cheaping out on the data transfer cable is like building a high-end rig, but saving costs by powering it with a cheap ass PSU ;).

You've got the fastest consumer GPU, get the best HDMI cable available, or even better get a TV with a displayport :p.

Sure but Fiber is only for long length cables. Also they're a lot more fragile... which is not great either.
FYI. I have braided HDMI 2.1 that work flawlessly and not made of Fiber and I have a 4090.

Also I'm supposed to receive my AORUS 5090 XTREME WATERFORCE in March, so I'll probably be getting a 3m DP 2.1 cable (UHBR20 80Gbps) since I have a 4K@240Hz QD-OLED monitor. 120Hz is good but a 5090 was made for more than that.

Technically optical also adds latency if you don't need it.
The delays of HDMI optical to electrical converters can be ignored because they are measured in units of approximately 10µs, 0.00001 seconds.

If optical-to-electrical converters cause serious latency, it would be a disaster just to surf the Internet because when the packet reaches the server, it has passed through hundreds or thousands of converters.

Even if the copper wire HDMI is certified, there will still be inevitable problems in some environments. For example, the line needs to go through many turns or S-shapes, especially near the connector. HDMI signals are differential signals. When the copper wire goes through too many bends, even the certified wire will have problems.

This is why more and more brands are starting to develop optical HDMI fibers. The cost of optical cables is lower than that of copper wires. The real cost is the optical-to-electrical conversion chips at both ends of the connector. As more and more of them are used in the market, the cost is gradually decreasing. However, the line's anti-interference electrical performance and wiring will be better than copper wires.

Many properties and strengths of today's optical fiber cables are no worse than those of copper cables.

For example, bending properties

None that I know of, but at least the old *9 series like I own can recieve a 12 bit signal and do a kind of FRC like thing to emulate it. Sadly no future LGs replicate this.

The converter itself isn't what I am worried about. There is a whole custom chip involved too since HDMI is not a native optical protocol.

That, and you aren't getting the same quality of converters here as you do on the internet backbone.

It's still probably near or less than a ms and imperceptible, but, worth mentioning.

LG OLEDs (CX and newer) can at least do true 10 bit, with nearly complete coverage which should be sufficient

It's only 40Gbps? A full HDMI 2.1 has 48Gbps for 12-bit color!

Which TV's have 12bit panels?
There are no TVs nor Monitors with a real 12-bit panel (there are some Professional ones but they're extremely expensive). But 12-bit color can be set in Windows to get better for color banding, as well as having better shades & highlights too.

Yes, but even then, the display must have the 10bit+FRC option, right? It makes sense if you're talking about what HDMI 2.1 is capable of overall, but I'm not aware of any displays in recent years that have the option you mentioned. Not being pedantic, but I'd love to have one if they don't make a crater-sized hole in your wallet.

You can activate 12-bit color on Windows from the Nvidia Control Panel. Just use RGB (Full on a Monitor and Limited for a TV) and then 12-bit color.

Uh no? The box clearly says 48gbps.
My bad, Idk why earlier I read 40Gbps somewhere lol. You said you have a G3 right? If so the TV can do 48Gbps & 12-bit color. They added it on the 2019 model (C9) but then limited the HDMI 2.1 port to 40Gbps on the 2020, 2021 and 2022 models lol.

I have a B9 and yes, that's about right. Other than the panel being native 10-bit of course.

Full on a Monitor and Limited for a TV
Modern TVs can do full range fine, so you should use it.

Yeah B9 has HDMI 2.1 ports

Modern TVs CAN do Full Range but Full RGB is not recommended since it saturates colors so RGB Limited is the best for a PC working on a TV.
Also when watching HDR videos on your TV YCbCr 4:4:4 (which is the same as RGB Limited) is the best since all Movies/Series and Videos online are made in 4:2:0 or 4:2:2. Even the best 4K Blu-rays are 4:2:2.

First I've heard of it. I've been using full for years now. One would ask why there are different mode settings on the TV for full/limited if it has trouble handling full.

This however is correct. You'll end up doing wonky colorspace convertions when doing media consumption.

First I've heard of it. I've been using full for years now. One would ask why there are different mode settings on the TV for full/limited if it has trouble handling full.

You can use Full RGB but you will have to calibrate the TV with a Meter & Calman Home for LG to get accurate colors.
I did it on my LG OLED C9 and Limited was definitely a lot more accurate and real than Full. Do the test you will see. Limited is for TVs and Full is for Monitors.
