help 4ghz with e8400

when i drop vcore i can post to windows when i run orthos it come with orthos needs to close and when i run it says stopped sumtimes i could it be my mem settings

some chips just wont go 4 without a major jump in voltage

im only going to use this chip for next 6 months so shall i just boost the vcore up till it stable in orthos

my e8500eo @ right around there on maximus se/rampage bios..
i think your cpu voltage is high and your fsb termination voltage is a little low.. not familiar with that bios but try 400 strap or 333 strap on memory..

the e8500 i have takes a crap load of volts to get it stable above 4.3

The only thing I did to reach 4GHz with my E8400 was to bump the FSB! Haven't touched anything else! I run it all thr time that way so it is stable!
