Help and answers needed with an Ipod touch please :)

My gf is looking to get an ipod touch but is wondering which one to get, here is what she would want it for -

facebook (the whole package)
youtube
BBCi, ITV player etc
Full web access
Emails including - hotmail,aol
Music (not massive amounts)
apps
couple of games at most

What are the main differences between all of the ones out there at the minute and for what I listed above, what sort of storage size would be best? Would an 8gb suffice as she really doesnt want to have overkill and wants a cost efficient solution.

Any help and info on this would be mucho appreciated guys, thanks.

8gb would be enough then, she'll find herself playing pointless games rather than listening to music anyways, so...

What is the speed like for web browsing and what sort of restrictions are there if any?

Well the iPod Touch connects to a WLAN network. So it depends on that. What you mean by restrictions? For Facebook, BBC etc, an app is needed, but they work out pretty well.

Restricted in the sense of certain stuff not being able to be displayed because of incompatibility.
Regarding web access I know nothing so what is WLAN? We have a Router at home so would it just link up to that? And she'll want it for when shes on the bus so how does it work with web access on the move...thanks MRCL)

some videos will not work... Also, jailbreak = heaven in that case (which is my case also

I love my jb 2G 8gig itouch). youtube videos work though...

Me the wife and one kid all have one and there awesome. Boy plays mostly games. The wife puts book tv shows and movies on hers, I use music , movies etc. Hell now a days McDonalds book stores alot of wifi out there to connect to. I never had any problem with connecting to any sites.
The only thing I wish they would of put on was a camera.
Yea it will do gmail, yahoo etc
