I still have a reference ATI 4870 and I am capable of using ATI flash and it is effective on my Asus EAH 4870. I am just not capable of getting a postable BIOS

I don't have the card, but I do not get what you are saying. What update for the card on the website?

Sorry I want clear Castiel

The update on the asus website bricked my video card.
Here is my chat with their tech support.

Krisenda Allen> How can I help you?
Reese> Oh I need a BIOS
Reese> For an Asus EAH 4870 Matrix
Krisenda Allen> Have you went to our support site?
Reese> Yes I have
Krisenda Allen> Do you need firmware update for the card or do you need BIOS update for the motherboard its on?
Reese> The Firmware for the videocard
Krisenda Allen> Just one moment...it should have been on the site.
Krisenda Allen> What operating system?
Reese> Windows Xp
Krisenda Allen> I see the update on our site.
Krisenda Allen> http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us
Krisenda Allen> then type in 4870 where it says input model to search and press enter
Reese> I did
Krisenda Allen> then select the 4870 series
Krisenda Allen> then select OS
Krisenda Allen> I am looking at it
Reese> Yea
Reese> That part number doesnt math that of the one on my PCB
Reese> It turned my videocard into a brick last time
Reese> Then I used ati flash and fixed it with an older asus BIOS
Krisenda Allen> well the ATI update is more up to date then ours.
Krisenda Allen> Ours come from them anyway.
Krisenda Allen> what issue are you having cause you said that the ATI fixed it.
Reese> The Asus update that you sent me made my videocard not able to go though the post check
Reese> so I took an update from my other older asus 4870
Reese> and flashed it to it
Reese> it alows it to post but crashs when any 3d apps run
Reese> Do you have some one who could email me the 4870 BIOS file it should be a .rom or a ..bin
Krisenda Allen> Just one moment.
