Hey guys
I will be purchasing a new 2080 Ti soon and i need your opinion on this.
I came down to this three cards since i like a sleek more simple design. (not an over extended cooler etc)
Also if anyone owns any of the three or knows any flaws i would like to know before purchasing. (high fan noises etc)
I love the reference design but i don't like the green lights.

Am between:

Gigabyte 2080 Ti WINDFORCE OC
PNY 2080 Ti XLR8 Gaming OC
ZOTAC 2080 Ti Gaming Twin Fan

Thanks

I looked at some reviews for these card and I would choose the Gigabyte 2080 Ti WINDFORCE OC. But overall I think they are all good. Depends also on the price, if one is cheaper than the others.

As much as I like Zotac as a company and a brand, the PNY gets my vote because of the cooling and ease of use. No extra software required, plug it in, install drivers, play. Most others require extra software to get the most out of the card. The PNY is configured from the factory to self OC to gain maximum performance.

Buy the PNY with confidence.

But overall I think they are all good.
This is true.

Do your home work, don't just take opinions here cause in the end if you buy it and it sucks you won't be able to run back here and say "you told me to buy it".

While that is always good advice and a good point, I think the fact that OP narrowed the choices down to those three cards implies they did some research and are just looking for insight from the community, perhaps some reassurance.

Did he really, or he simply based his choice on aesthetics alone?

Zotac, I have the windforce -- the cooler has some serious behaviour issues - totally fine if you use MSI afterburner to control it, but unless you're saving $100 on the gigabyte go for the zotac.

Not sure about PNY.

Why would you purchase a 2080 Ti at this point?

It came out 1 year ago and price is still the same.

Ampere 3000 series launches 1H 2020.

Common sense. Bigger Navi is coming. 2060 Super and 2070 Super can barely compete with 5700 XT as it is. Nvidia still uses 12nm. 7nm is ready. Cyberpunk 2077 will feature Ray Tracing, it will be a showcase for Ampere RTX.

You'll see.

I would never buy 2080 Ti 12nm for 1 grand at this point. Should have bought it 1 year ago then.

RTX 3070 will be beating 2080 Ti in 6-9 months for half the price. My crystal ball said so.

Just trying to save your hair, because you will be ripping your hair out when Ampere 7nm launches. It will be a huge leap, unlike 1000 -> 2000 series.
