    I'm doing billing....

    Ok

I'm on a network folder, and I was moving stuff to a renamed replaced folder.

I cut the stuff from a folder, and then deleted the folder to paste it in another folder.
I should of pasted before I deleted the older folder, because now I can't paste what I had cut.

I looked in the recycling bin on this computer, and on the server(where the folder was) and it's not there.

    Any ideas?

    I have to have this....have to:banghead:

you could try some undelete programs. i know O&O have some reliable ones. They cost money, but everyone knows how to obtain a 'free trial' these days.

When you cut or copy, the OS puts the full pathname into the clipboard, not the file itself. When you deleted the content that it was pointing to, it had nothing to copy.

Also, when you delete something from a network share it never goes to either recycle bin, it just gets purged.

That's good to know, normally I do this on remote desktop and not just in a network folder.

In the System32 folder there is an executable called clpbrd.exe.
You can use it to see what is in the clipboard and also make clipbooks if you have the clpsrv service running. (at least I think that is the service you need)
You don't need the service running to just see what's in the clipboard.
