Hi guys
I am currently trying to fix a motherboard (daoze6mb6eo rev e ) that belonged to acer one notepad

I injected voltage and now I know the shorted component is an IC that is a card reader (rts5209)

I don't need the card reader and don't need to replace this component.

My question is : If I just desolder this IC and remove it, will the board work normally?

or do I have to replace it?
