I did have a really bad time trying to reboot my computer after the blue screen

Tried cleaning out your HDD of junk? Stuff like system mechanic is great for cleaning up your HDD.

Or you could use Vista Manager to clean your hard drive, works real good. The only bad thing about it is that it isn't free...........

Yes, it sounds like a registry issue to me, as mentioned, download a free program, personally I like and use CC Cleaner as it is more than just a registry cleanup utility, in fact it's fantastic...... you can download it here:

I got rid of the blue screen

Microsoft replied with a message saying that my antivirus was the one creating the problem, and gave me a few choices. and one of them was to turn off one if I had more than one running in my system. I have Mcaffe 8.5, but I decided to turn off defender, and so far I havent had any blue screen.
