Hi.

This is happening too me in last few months.

Card and PC - Ultra clean - i'm cleaning filters and PC almost every week.

Stock clocks Sapphire 290X TRI-X - After ~4 mints in FurMark.

VRM temps are always higher than GPU temps. Seeing as you are hitting 77C on GPU, 102 C on VRM is not too strange. They are generally rated for 120 C I believe.

However it is not advisable to take the GPU much further voltage wise.

I can't remember that VRM1 temps were above ~80.... =P
Yep, gpu pretty high too =P need to change pads and paste, but i can't do that bcuz warranty.... =[
In winter(10~25*c) this isn't big problem, but idk what would happen in summer(30~45*c).

Dont use Furmark.
Nonthing beat FurMark in video card kill... i mean testing.

Seems like you may have a case cooling situation.
Could possibly be paste but its hard to tell whats really going on atm with limited data.
Some gaming temps would be nice to see because while your not at a dangerous temp at all the tri-x should perform better with decent case fans and configuration.

No honestly, Capslock is right. Stop using Furmark before you damage your card. It puts an unhealthy amount of stress on GPU. If I remember correctly Nvidia explcitly limits Furmark performance at BIOS level or driver level, so that should tell you enough on how safe it is

If you want to stress/stability test or burn in, use Heaven for stability, Valley for long burn ins, and 3D Mark if you also want to test physics performance. That's the only bench set you really want to use.

Addendum; since my edit buttons (and profile pics, and topic title bars and a whole lot more - offtopic but WTF is going on?) don't work:

- See if higher fan speeds have a profound effect on VRM1 temps. If they do, you may want to reseat the cooler and/or look at case airflow.
- If your VRM1 temps have suddenly risen dramatically, chances are there is some damage somewhere already. Consider removing cooler and look for visible faults/damage
- Explore RMA options

Since you said VRM1 temps have been much lower, some alarm bells went off here. This could be the beginning of a card's death if it carries on too long at max load. However, we are still discussing Furmark load temps so it's anyone's guess until you bench and monitor on something more regular.

1: Higher fan speeds always help =], but Tri-x is awesome cooler and should work fine with stock fan settings.
2: I can't, i still have warranty.
3. Shop in my city full of ass holes, i bought AX1200i, and fan sounds like a tractor I asked for RMA 2 times , they told me everything is working, don't worry.
4. About FurMark - i'm running it maximum ~4~5 mints, once a year.
5. Case fans configuration - Stock 900D.

VRM1 = +/- PCI-E power cables.

Yes, this is correct, TriX is one of the best open air coolers Sapphire has on offer really, and it should be more than adequate. Then again hot VRM can have several causes and the majority is not in the cooler itself, but the stuff around it. Case airflow, ambient room temps, voltage regulation IC's, I can imagine in Israel average temps are quite a few degrees higher than over here in Netherlands for example ;)

A few things I notice on your pics
- PSU on its side. Is this for testing purposes or general solution? It's an easy way to brick a good fan, in any case. If you've had this for awhile now, I can see why its noisy. It will now see uneven wear on the bearings for every single second it's running. I would suggest you place it normally, fan drawing in fresh air from outside the case and exhausting outside the case. Saves on temps inside as well. Right now the PSU is drawing intake cool air away from GPU, basically screwing up your airflow from front bottom to back topside of case.

- Case fans are drawing intake air from the front, what voltage you put them on? If it's still on 5V, kick it up a notch :)

Generally, 77 C on GPU is a fine temperature and still has a few degrees headroom too before you see serious inefficiency (this happens much more over 80C) in terms of power leakage. I'm still very curious on your VRM1 temps during a Heaven bench run. If it still shows 102C, I would consider RMA, because at stock voltage and for 24/7 that is NOT healthy.

Do you have a side fan in or a open spot for one? The way that stock coolers work they actually blow air down onto the mobo and help cool vrm's but you can use a side intake to help or back fans as intake. There is several configurations that are recommended and work. Negative pressure is prob going to be best if you have no side fan space but it gets dusty pretty fast.
Can you tell us how you have all your fans configured?

Personally I wouldn't bother with additional fans, because that is tip toeing around the actual issue. Case airflow should be more than adequate with 2x IN >> 1x OUT and if your GPU needs a side fan, there are other issues most notably issues with the GPU cooling solution itself.

It's a bit like throwing more hardware at software problems: they work in practice, but don't solve the real problem.

In addition, you seem to be talking about CPU VRM section while this whole thread is about GPU VRM1, which is under his PCIE connectors on the GPU itself. A side fan will maybe shave off a few degrees C, but he has an effective cooler right on top of his VRM1 already and his GPU temp is just fine.

I'm not using fan controller anymore, were problem with system stability - so all fans connected to motherboard. (1k~1,2k rmp)
+ so i don't have addition ports for side fans anymore, and yea dust is pretty annoying.
About the weather, in summer hot as hell but in winter pretty fine and desktop temperature pretty low.

Like i said before, this never happened too me, ~1.5 years ago i had 65~75*c while long gaming session in summer.

11.63V on 12V in idle isn't very solid. Can you drop a GPU-Z screenie during Heaven 4.0 run? Could be informative.

That VRM temp is a lot better, now you can see why no Furmark :)

If you ever have hard lockups or instant shutdowns, you now know where to look first. Your +12V is no longer within ATX spec, which is surprising on an AX1200i. 2nd RMA you said? It's still shit, especially for such an expensive unit.

Did you pause the bench or alt/tabbed once or twice? I see some brief gaps. If that was stutter, it may be related to the PSU / low 12V value.

Still too hot for winter, stock clocks and ~2 mint run =P.

Yep, window mode, i clicked on desktop.

About the PSU like i said assholes, i even thinking about of killing it xD....

GPU at full load will ramp up to stable temps in about 2-4 mins (differs per cooler/GPU) so seeing 74 C after 2 degrees is quite indicative - remember you also had 77 C full load in Furmark. However a longer Heaven run will be useful, I can see your VRM temp is still climbing slowly to 82C, if it keeps climbing, that's not good. If it stabilizes at around 85 C you're probably fine.

For Israeli Winter and me over 70*C is way to high, like i said i own this GPU over 2 years =].

I'm kind of low temperatures freak xD.....

Im looking at a 78 C 780ti every day since day one... Not sure how you got lower max load temps, but I am guessing it wasn't at full load.

Heavy overclock and temps still pretty low.

now i can't overclock more than 50hz on gpu or memory - auto crash.

- 2015
1247
1666
GPU 64 MAX
VRM1 = 74
VRM2 = 35

- 2016
1040
1400
GPU = 74
VRM1 = 82
VRM2 = 55

Apples & Apples? I think not.

Look at your fan speed! That bench was on full out 80% fan speed, no wonder temps are lower.

In Furmark screenie your fan was at 44%...

I think the 290x PCB have some problems with the voltage measurements, my two 290x will report 11.88 V at idle and 11.75 V at load, but when i measure it wit a multi meter i get 12.16 V on the pads of the card.
