Help I'm a DDR2 noob!

I know my fair share of info about DDR1, but I'm looking at possibly going C2D and I don't really know what I'm doing with DDR2 as far as what latencies/speeds are good and what are bad. What's the DDR2 equivilant of the baseline PC3200? What are generally some good latencies? For example I know with DDR1 some RAM that will run 2-3-2-6 at PC3500 is good. With DDR2 I have really no idea. All the latencies of DDR2 look terrible to me being used to cas latencies of 2 and 3 not 4 and 5.

I'm looking at spending $250-$300 MAYBE even $350, want probably PC6400, and 2x1gb. I'm looking for good overclocking performance here.

it's the same as ddr, the higher the speed and the lower timmings the better the memory is

Right, but what's considered low timings, and what are considered high speeds? Like with DDR1 CL2 was about as low as you could go, and didn't get higher than 3 and didn't surpass speeds much faster than 500-600mhz.

By the way, thanks for the links Chewy. The first one didn't work but the second did help some.

Most DDR2 800 (pc 6400) run around 5-5-5-12.. to oc it you have to gear it down a notch to DDR667 and then go from there

I also heard that Ocz ram is good for lowering timmings but not so good at raising Mhz.
Its fairly cheap ram aswell... I read that you dont recomend Ocz ram but it cant be all bad
