Id also recommend Vizio i have 2 of em and they are on par with tv's 2x the price.

Not to mention my buddy's used to swear by Samsung till they both broke in around 2 years time one had the mainboard fry the other hdmi audio is dead.

double check the manufacturers website, sometimes euro televisions use alternate model numbers.

search for a LCD television with the least amount of problems you can live with in your price range. a lot of consumers like to shop by brand name but televisions are rated on a model by model basis. black levels and input lag are probably important to you so I would start there.

I read up about the tv and it seems pretty good. good overall picture quality for SD channels too and impressive HD picture quality.
It says the blacks arn't as impressive as they should be, but it's nothing serious!
I can live with that!
it has no TV tuner, I can live with that too.

It has 8/10 in picture quality, Sound, low power consumption and price. but 7/10 for features, due to it not having built in tv tuner.
Sounds good enough to me!

black levels are important because they bring out the colors, detail and depth. if the input lag is too high there will be a delay between input devices (Playstation 3 controller) and television. the input lag on the Samsung UND7000 you like so much is high

I was just informed that I might be getting a free 70'' Sony bravia 1080p HD TV from my Father.

It's rear-projection, but it's still amazing.

Looks like I don't need a new TV now lol

Yes that's true!
After watching some videos online in 1080p, it looks very nice to me, seems like the blacks look very nice! looks very vibrant which I like very much

The latency time for it is 30ms, which has no effect for the PS3 users, Which I am delighted about xD Although if the 100hz features are on such as the HD Motion and HD Pixel precise then it shoots up to 200ms! which is a no no!

I'm sure that's good tho right?? 30ms is nothing??

I don't think it matters if the television is using a 8, 10, 12, 14 or 16-bit processor because source content (digital cable, satellite, Blu-ray, XBOX 360 and PS3) is only 8-bit.
