Hi.

QUESTION #1
I put my hand on a strange cable I never seen before. I think it can be to program the Cysco routers but I'm not sure. On one side is a male usb connector like to plug in a computer and the other side is a RJ45 connector.
What it could be?

QUESTION #2
I put my hand on an external BYTECC encloser for IDE hard drive with a USB and a LAN connector on the back. The hard drive will be a Maxtor 200gigs IDE-133. How am I suppose to setup this so I can access from other computers of home of anybody outside that want to go get things on this hard drive?

1. its a mystery cable. show us a photo.

2. if its a LAN connection, its a NAS. connect it to a router, find out its IP address and login with a web browser to control it. from outside the home will require a port forward, if the NAS even supports it.

I found the type of cable. It is to connect anything with RJ45 connector to a pc via USB fonctionning on the serial Bus. So it's for older stuff I guess. The HDD reader got dead so no installation finally.
