Just got this...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817703009

and I can't figure out if the 12v connectors that work for my 8800 work for the mainboard. The 8 slot pin connector fits on my 650i board with half being unused and the right half of the 6 pin connectors that are the same as what plug into the ultra fit into that slot.

There's a 4 pin white plug that doesn't fit. I'm fairly certain either the 6 or 8 pin connectors that fit will do the job but I'm so tired of messing up I don't dare plug it in.

Anyone know for sure?

Ok....so what don't you have plugged in right, the mobo or the gfx? You should either have one 4 pin or one 8 pin into the mobo, not 6 pin, and 2 6 pins in the gfx. Can you link the mobo?

first off, congrats on the great psu purchase.

secondly, the 8pin connector on the mainboard is fine, provided that there wasn't a 4 pin that was avaliable right? the white plastic plug is known as the molex connector, dont mess with that. what you need is this cable plugged into your video card:

& one of these in your mobo's cpu power connector:

use that provided that you dont have this one:

I've got the 24 pin connector connected the item in the lower left hand corner that's is the plug that I'm concerned about connecting.

Alright, so you can't get the 24 pin in right? Cause that's just one piece and can only go in one way. Then you also need the 4 pin connector into the mobo in the corner by the cpu. That will only go in one way to. 6 pins into the 8800s....and then all the peripherals then boom ready to go.

Ok I have an 8 pin connector that looks like your picture but is white as well, but it's the only one that is solid, the only 8 pin connector on the psu. There's 2 extra pcie 6 pin plugs like the one you showed for the video card that fit with 2 pins hanging out. Which one would you suggest?

either plug will be good.

everything's made so that with regular force, you cant really shove things in the wrong way, so you'll know if you're using a connector that doesn't work, but either of the pci e ones will work.

Sorry, the 24 pin connector (not 20 +4) is in *no option*no brainer. It's the 4 pin connector in that lower left corner of the pic I'm trying to connect.

err chang, i think you're not getting what hes saying. he has the 24pin connector in the 24pin socket, he was asking about the 4 pin connector cpu connecter that he has on his mobo, and he only has a 8 pin connection from the cpu..
