I have finished a new build. This is my 3rd build. Being 75 It took me a little longer. All works well except when I boot the system using the UEFI BIOS the motherboard posts a message that the video card has no GOP and will be reset to CSM. Going to Sapphire's site I see that the RX570 Does have a UEFI BIOS.

When I use the TechPowerUp app to look at the RX570"specs-- on the side of the APP there is a listing for UEFI BIOS. Should there be a check mark in the UEFI Box if the card is indeed running a UEFI BIOS. At present I see no check mark there. Card Works Fine but without the GOP I cannot use secure boot and therefore will not be able to upgrade to Windows 11. Any thoughts on the how to correct this problem

Thanks,

It sounds like it has a older non uefi bios on it ,I think they're are uefi BIOS you could flash to it, with a gop included, just make sure your graphics output types and position matches between yours and the donor card too.

Ps does the card have a dual bios switch, try it, the other could be uefi.

Here is a snapshot of TechPowerUP"s and HWINFO's reprot on my graphics card. I seems that there are several files with similar vbios. Which one is the correct one?

Being a Pulse card it may have a bios switch located on the card on the pcie bracket where the video outputs are or opening the case with power off and finding a switch on the closest edge to you near the pcie bracket or by the power supply connectors.

If you find that switch, flip it and power on the system and start gpu-z.

You have a mining bios.

Can you get a picture of the white sku stickers locatedon the back of the card or on the side of the card heatsink?

I will help you find a bios after you flip switch (if there is 1)

I find it interesting that I have a mining bios. I bought this card new from Newegg in 2020. Being retired it took me a while to purchase my components. The card does have a switch on the side. One position is for Compute the other for gaming. I had a warning notice in the original box that setting the switch to compute could cause the system to become unstable and require a reinstallation of the drivers. In addition this card is still under warranty.

Compute is the mining bios, the other side is gaming, they come that way by default. Flip the switch to gaming, boot up and get a gpu-z screenshot of that side please

Thank you for your patience. This should be the Game bios. Oddly, with the RX 570 set to this bios I cannot enter setup on my B550 after bootup. If I try to enter the B550 bios while this setting is enabled on the graphics card the system hangs up, I get a message on my monitor (input not supported) and I have to reboot. When I reboot after the system hangs up without trying to enter setup bios by using the delete key the system will boot and I still get the message on my monitor "input not supported" for a few seconds and then the system finishes booting into Windows. After boot, using System Information, Windows tells me that I now have a UEFI Bios but it is not enabled. I have tried to enable Secure boot using the settings in Advanced Recovery but the same thing happens upon reboot, I can't get into the bios on my motherboard.

I will try to find several that may resolve the problem. Was the GPU in its original box with a sticker seal on the edge or clear wrapped, what about the antistatic bag the card is supposed to come in?

Original Box, Sealed-- In anti static. Sold new by Newegg. I purchased the card in 2020. Being retired it took me time to get all the parts. If Microsoft didn't have the requirement for Secure Boot all would be ok.

Make sure the card is switched to the Gaming (1284/1750) bios and not compute bios.

Get this tool.

Use this file.

Open amdvbflashwin.exe by right clicking and opening with administrator rights/privileges, find the file above you downloaded and flash, let me know if you get an error please.

Thank you

Do not flash the compute bios if the gaming bios flash fails

Take your time flashing, remain calm and do not panic.

You brought me to the point where I have the information to where I might possibly be able to correct the problem. Since the bios was not an official bios from Sapphire I want to contact them to see if they might fix the card. It is under warranty for 2 years. I have a less powerful card to put in imy computer if they will warranty the card. If Sapphire will not do anything for me then I will proceed with the flash. In the meantime I have learned al lot from you and others in the forum. The group has a real and caring spirit to help those like me who are still learning the ins and outs of the computer world. Thank you.

Thank you.

It is an official bios, it just wasn't verified by @W1zzard and crew, as they don't have the time to verify every bios around.

You have a dual bios card so if the flash failed, you can boot up using the bios switched to compute side, and then while booted up on the compute bios, flip back to gaming bios and flash it.

The bios I provided has your SKU (11266-66) marked on it along with the same exact Device ID & Subsystem ID (1002 67DF 1DA2 E353) and Samsung Memory.

So the chance of failure is 1-5% & Success is 95-99%

I've been helping users do VGA flashes on Mint Green/Red Arrow and chartreuse eye cards for 3+ years now.

22+ years of PC Building experience.

There are many more bios that are compatible with your card that I can provide, which are from 2018 and 2017. I only provided the latest ones which typically fix the uefi/gop troubles.

In the zip file you extracted to a folder, there is a readme.txt and a guide.pdf. Read them both first.

I'm unsure if you have to install that driver.

Tried the Flash. I got a message this version of the Bios is already installed.

Ok that means you will need to do it via amdvbflash and not amdvbflashwin.

Where is your flash tool located, is it on the desktop?
