help on flashing ati9800-pro agp...???

Hi.

Now i no this might sound silly but
Is it possible 2 flash the BIOS on a ati9800-pro 256 meg agp card.????
my 9800 is dated 2003 according 2 my drivers.
do graphics card have a bios on them.

i have in the past flashet a dvd-drive ones.

yes they do, but there isn't an updated bios for your card, best to leave it alone

The thing is 5 years old lol.
But would flashing any graphics card give any more horse power 2 it
when it comes 2 graphics? and games

like candle said just leave it alone. It sounds like you don't know much about video cards (not trying to flame you). If something happens or you flash it with a bios that isn't compatible with the card then you have a dead card

well i know you can flash the 98oo pro to the 9800 XT which helps a little in speed but how you do this first you have to see if your card will run at 9800 XT speeds

like candle said just leave it alone. It sounds like you don't know much about video cards (not trying to flame you). If something happens or you flash it with a bios that isn't compatible with the card then you have a dead card

if any think went wrong whit my ati9800 i wont loose any sleep over it lol.
i have some old agp cards lying around 2 experiment whit.
the thing is its a old gameing p.c. i have and was going 2 see if it was possilble 2 get a bit
more horse power out of it.
i just play old games i get from the second hand shops on the cheep.
as i no it cant do much when it comes 2 new game releases.

thanks guys for your input on this.
i just had a look at the bios up dates on there
as i can see there is a lots of types of ati-9800 cards 2 pick from

so i will give it a miss and leave what works alone.
