HELP: Photoshop unresponsive and unsaved files

Hey

How would I save files in emergency, i have accidentially switched crossfire mode and all of my applications became UI crahsed, they appear to work but they are freezed, seems like background is still operating but I cant' do anything cause I can't see from this bs. BS Photoshop doesn't have any hotkeys for saving imo, im searching but finding nothing ....

I am just second from going total nuclear and I will ****** throw something out of the window, if the boiler doesn't cool down.

Isn't there some temporary hidden folder photoshop saves it's stuff in TMP, and i've already dumped the process to file if that helps.

i have no idea on this it looks they have no backup when something not right happen except you save it before
i ever experienced when i do some work then suddenly my system get restart then it makes my file broken, its 25mb lost

Did you try Ctrl+S? That is how I usually save files in Photoshop.

Ctrl+S and Shift+Ctrl+S to "save as"........its the same with most programs. Also you can try and Shift+Ctrl+Alt+S to "save for web" which might make it resposive again.

You killed the process? You can kiss that file goodbye. In MOST cases that will cause corruption. Pro Tip: When using photoshop save often and don't use anything else.

I found the files, it's

Photoshop Temp93423479

and some files like this:
~E6AB56.tmp

And I also dumped the whole process to a DMP file.


EDIT: hotkeys didn't work because the process was unresponsive

You can try and recover from that. I personally have never seen that work. I don't even think thats the whole file.

Check the Adobe forums.

That would require some tons of effort, or sending to adobe devs.

There is nothing already out there that recovers automatically, maybe im missing something, the solution of renaming ~XXXXX.tmp into .PSD doesn't work with CS5, but remember, i haven't saved at all, this is not the "corrupted psd" issue, this is "being so stupid and not saving at all in a session"

The good thing is, the material is not that important so I re-done everything with a grudge, so this is solved now but there is no solution I found unfortunately.
