Help with 2900xt

Good day Everyone,

I have a Radeon 2900xt 512 MB. I was wondering if owners of the same card or ex owners can chime in and let me know what clocks you guys were able to achieve on stock cooling. Also, what program you guys were using and if you had to flash the bios, etc. Please, I got my CPU/MB/RAM running where I wanted it, now it's time to tweak the card a bit. I don't have much experience with video cards so thats why I am seeking help from you guys. Looking forward to some answers, thanks.

I just use riva tuner to adjust my fan speeds and I just adjust my clocks with ccc to as far as they will go witch is 858 on gpu and 900 on memory didnt see a need to go any higher, got this ~~ http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=7207950 .

Ive got 940on gpu and 980 on memory before.

Ive got 940on gpu and 980 on memory before.

you mind showing me your settings for the fan?

I have riva tuner v2.09 just open it and click on the dropdown by 512bit r600 and select low level system settings and then fan tab click on fixed and adjust to where you need it. ALLEN

I could bench two of them on stock cooling at 900Mhz
People game around 800-850 on them with a little more voltage.

The pro bios has better memory times, and you can flash it on it.

Mine does 847/999 stable on stock clocks. I set the fan speed in ATItool to 60%, iirc.

I should get around to vmodding that thing, just for the fun of it, and see how far I can take it.

830/950MHz on stock cooling and higher fan 60-70%. CCC or RivaTuner are used.

OK guys, I still have not flashed or changed anything. Still on stock cooler, I used riva tuner to adjust fan speeds and core and memory clocks. WIth the core at 833 MHz and the memory at 900 MHz, I 3dmarked 11108 3d marks in 3DMark 06. Let me know what you guys think. the link below is to my HWBot score upload.

hmmm? I cant get is stable over 833 and 899 memory. Not all careds are the same. However I just bought a watercooling system today, Once I get the VGA block and get it installed Ill see what it can do on water.

nice, with water, i've seen clocks well over 1ghz.

I run mine at 812 and 900 in xfire. I havn't flashed them for more voltage though.

Yah me neither. I probably wont do the LCS installation today, but tomorrow for sure I will. Then I just got to find a water block. Right now i'm leaning towads the Koolance one. You know of any proven water blocks for the 2900xt?

Are you just getting a universal block, or a full coverage block? If you are just getting a normal GPU block (which is the way I would go), just get a Dangerden Maze5 or Swiftech MCW60. Best bang for the buck gpu blocks out there.

At 820\900 i find the top of the v card gets really hot so make sure you get some cooling or enough air flow around that area.

GPU 2D 427 1v \ 3D 820 1.2v

Never seem the fan over 56% even when the room temp has been as high as 29c.
