It says CF is enabled for games with a CAP profile under CCC, however when I go to play the game Msi Afterburner shows only 1 GPU in usage, other games use the Crossfire fine tho...

Is there no CAP profile for black ops 2?

Edit: I know it supports Crossfire because: http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/AMDCatalyst1211betadriver.aspx these old drivers say crossfire for black ops 2 improved... :/

open CCC, go to AMD Crossfire X and enable AMD CrossfireX for applications that have no associated profile and it will work, I have 1st hand knowledge. As you are correct, it doesnt work otherwise.

I did that but when I start the game up it just says black ops 2 has stopped working, now I can't get it to launch, if I turn it back off it loads back up though.... :banghead: Knew I should not have done Crossfire.

A single 7950 will give you more than enough performance in that game anyways. Yeah, you shouldn't of gone CrossFire....but. AMD is working on new drivers (due in June/July). If I was in your situation (which I actually am), I'd just put one of the cards on the shelf until then.

Actually, a single 7950 is not enough power. I am running 1440p PLS monitor that is overclocked to 120hz, and my 7950 can't do 120 fps at 1440p. :(

Which is why I wanted to try Crossfire. But yeah, new line of PLS Korean 1440p panels on ebay are all OC'ing to 120hz, 90% of them, the other 10% at least OC to 96hz...

you can read about it over on OC.net http://www.overclock.net/t/1374065/...40-matte-samsung-pls-panel/1440#post_19951187

Crossfired HD 7950's is useless for Black Ops 2 (or any COD game for that matter).

EDIT: You should've mentioned you're running 1440p/120Hz. Since you're aiming for 120 FPS, Crossfire should be fine for COD9.

I have no idea what you're saying.

Possibly that your coming across a bit agro dude, but text does that, ie it's all about how we percieve what is wrote and personal context is often missing.

I know all about it. :) If you really want to run 120 fps smoothly, you're going to need a single beast of a card that will cost you a thousand dollars (Titan). Or, you can play at 60 fps for now with a single card. CrossFire is broke but a fix is (hopefully) on the way.

Dude,

We know. But what you aren't understanding is that crossfire is BROKEN! Frame times, and latency are all issues of crossfire, where the frames you see in an FPS counter aren't the actual frames you are getting. AMD has said it is an issue, and will have a driver released to fix this issue this summer. They already had a prototype driver released to some reviewers when the HD7990 released.

Right now your 2nd 7950 is a paper weight. Your single 7950 will get you better performance then 2 of them currently. That's how messed up crossfire is. Go take a look over at PC Perspective. They have done a lot of work with figuring out the issue with tests, and understanding what is going on.

Important notice for Safe usage
*Recommended Graphic cards

- NVIDIA: GTX460 or more than 1GB memory, with DVI-D Port
- ATI: HD6850 or more than 1GB memory, with DVI-D Port

Hard to imagine considering the slack pixel warranty, inaccurate GPU recommendation and low price that these are consistently clocking to 120Hz. Wonder how long they'll last at that speed.

CAP profiles in CCC?

Hey guys, I stumbled across this thread while looking for help with my CF setup, and you guys are baffling me... where in CCC does it mention CAP profiles? My version, the latest, I think 13.4, has Enable CF and Disable CF, but no mention of CAP profiles, or an option to enable it for games with no associated profile... what am I missing? I have installed CAP from the AMD website; was it supposed to add options to CCC? Or am I just missing an advanced option somewhere? Thanks for the help in advance
