I currently have an x700pro overclocked to 450/500 and am getting 50 degrees centrigrade at rest and 70 degrees centigrade during heavy use -- this is within the limits of acceptability right?

IIRC 70°C is the uppermost limit temperature before heat damage might to set in. However, if you get no artifacts, it's probably within reason.

Yeah - no artifacts and the temperature never tops 70. Thanks for the reply!
