Did you lay the PC flat on the right side of it? That should move air out of just about any orientation of AIO installation.

Second, those are low grade (lite) models where pump noise was more prevalent that a typical AIO. Maybe a video with good audio will help?

It mat not be completely full, and where you have the radiator installed might be causing the air to be able to move.

Could also be the impeller hitting the side of the housing, but that has a different sound to it.

Put the tubes at the bottom of that rad and see if it goes away. With it as you have it, the air is at the top, and gets pushed right through the tubing into the pump.

Ya, reverse the radiator orientation. In any loop, the highest point is where air tends to migrate. Right now air is in a bad spot in your AIO.

Should be four screws at the back of the case. Be sure to follow the fan power wire, and either unplug it now, and reroute when the rad gets flipped, or be damn sure there is enough slack in the line first.

Over time, running air through the impeller is bad for the cooler. However, temperature of the CPU will increase to unsafe levels without coolant to transfer heat away from it. I think it is well worth the effort to get the radiator installed to trap air over leaving it like it is.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have. It isn't hard, just ensure the fan wire is free so you don't tear away a fan header or break the wires on accident. Otherwise, if you can turn a Phillips #2 screwdriver and unplug and replug a fan, you are good to go.

If you can't invert the Radiator so the hoses are at the bottom, mount it at the top of your case if possible.

Hard to say. If when it's on its back and works properly without noise, that is a good sign in my opinion. I would keep an eye on things for a while after solving the air issue. Monitor CPU temperatures and verify the pump is running as it should and it's not losing RPM.

Lay the PC on its side if you have room. Won't hurt anything.

I'd say hit up cooler master for an RMA. My only guess is that the impeller bearing is toast.

If it is still grinding, it is not going to get better. Dangerous, not really, but if it fails you might see your CPU take advantage of its built in thermal protection features.

Turn the radiator so the hoses are at the bottom and the noise should stop.
