So I'm slowly buying parts for a new build and I was planning on waiting to see where Bulldozer price/performance lies compared to Intel when it's released; however, Microcenter has a two day sale on the 2500K for only $149. The motherboards I've been looking at are pretty much in the same $10 window (~$190) if I go with either company.
I feel like I'll be passing up on a really good deal if I pass on the 2500k. Hell, if Bulldozer turns out to be the new king I can still probably sell the Intel on ebay to someone who doesn't know any better for about the same $149.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Edit: I like to overclock pretty much as a hobby. The system will be used for backing up dvds, stripping the DRM off music that I actually purchased but nothing too terribly taxing on it. Gaming will be more limited to my 275 GTX as I don't plan on updating it for a little while still.
