Hey all. First off, I'm new here and have to say...great site & excellent forums!!! With AMD's new line of AM2 CPUs coming out to combat Intel's Core 2s, I decided to build a new AM2/SLI comp to replace my old non-SLI socket 939. However, I'm unsure which Nvidia card I want to go with. So far, I'm looking at... AMD 64 X2 4800+ 2.4GHz (hoping for 2.8GHz+ after OC) Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro CPU Cooling ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe nForce 590 SLI mobo 2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 dual-channel RAM 2x 250GB WD SATA 3.0Gb/sec HDDs in RAID0 Antec True Power Trio 650W Power Supply I'm planning on sticking with the 7-series because of the 8-series' current price. Also, I currently don't care about DX10 or that bloated pile of dog feces Microsoft calls 'Vista', so an 8-series card would be a waste of money for me right now. :shadedshu I'm currently looking at dual (XFX or eVGA) GeForce 7950GTs (in SLI). How do these stack up against other 7-series cards as far as raw performance? I haven't been able to find any decent benchmarks on this exact card yet. Any educated suggestions or pointers to actual benchmarks would be greatly appreciated.
