hi everyone,

I have 9800SE uncapable opening the extra 4-pipelines.
This is XpertVision 9800SE 256MB 128-bit.
Soo... i'm looking overclocking it..
I downloaded ATI tool, and the stock speed is 380/250. I can get up to 430/320 without a single artifacts.
The thing is that I dont feel any change in games after I set it to the new speed...
Wierd of normal?

Anyway, hope soneone can help to turn this card to a decent one..

Thanks

the latest drivers from ATI website.
Before that I installed the Omega drivers which "opened" the extra 4-pipelines, but it isnt working on my card (windows wouldn't boot sometimes..)

So after that I reinstalled the original drivers.

You have to use the softmod drivers or you cant oc.

Get the latest softmod drivers, but jsut dont open the 4 additional pipes.

The softmod opens your extra pipelines from 4 to 8 makes a big difference

Yes I already know that Cold North... but my card is a crappy one and I cant open the pipes, so I try somehow to do other stuff to make it better...

9800SE by Xpert-Vision - BLEAH!!!

I`m havin` 1 of that shit too
only mine is 128MB 128BIT
I`m thinking of returning it back and get a 9600PRO instead - even if i have to pay 15 more $
Mine is working fine with all 8 pipes unlocked but is still a piece of shit.
My advice is to get ride of it. I will...soon.

Zapp, that OC'd with 8 pipes should outperform even a 9600XT

Well I still have the 9800SE without the extra pipes and without any overclocking, and still - It works very well..
Maybe I dont need any overclocking.. I dont know...
