hi i was wanting to know is it ok to be running 5 fans off this

i got one so i can run 3 fans off it but i was wondering if it be ok to plug two more in to it or if that would be to much for one header

depends. normally your average fan header can supply 12V 1A
if you have 5 fans with 0.2A max you'll be fine (and mostly you won't run them at 100% anyways)

check your fans and look if you get above 1A with all combined.

id be lucky if they go past 50% if running them with the smart fan option but i would be setting them to around 8v or so in bios so they stay quiet ect
i have extra fan headers just wanted to clean up my cables

i was asking about fan hubs the other day, i saw this on Amazon and thats the reason i didnt buy it , because it doesnt have power connected to it.
. as i wouldnt trust having 4 or 5 fans running on 1 header.

ended up just buying a 4 pack of quality double splitters

No issues here...

Let me link the build here. It's running 5 PWM splitters. This is a production rig that is hammered all day long and can see rendering jobs lasting well over 5 hours at a time.

You could, but I wouldn't. You risk drawing too much current through the header. Especially when the computer first powers on and the fans have to start. All 5 will be drawing significantly more than even what they are rated for all at once to start up. The rating on the fan is the maximum current when running at full speed, but they actually draw more than that(sometime more than double their rating) briefly when they are starting up.

I'd look for a splitter with it's own power input that doesn't draw power from the motherboard's fan header. Something like this:

Though I'd prefer something that uses SATA power, just because I hate molex. But SATA's not actually necessary.

i got a new case upgraded from a potato sack eg 10 yr old case

the case came with 4 of this fan and according to the specification they use 0.52a but when i look on the fan it self it says 0.12a . maybe 0.52a is including the rgb part idk much about this but if they are using 0.52a that means i cant even run two off one header
if 1A is the most they can provide.
the rgb controller is sata powered so that's not pulling power from the header

i have 8 120mm fans and 1 aio pump i need to run. currently i have it set with the 2 rad fan on the cpu header pwm controlled and the aio pump on a system header running at 12v leaving two system headers for the other 6 fans

the 3 front intake i was going to run off that splitter i posted and now im thinking ill have to get a second one to run the 1 rear exhaust and the 2 120mm i have on my gpu. i have my gpu deshrouded as i don't like how the fans it came with sound. right now ive had to reshround my gpu what is annoying me

the splitter newtekie1 posted with the psu power that's not pwm controllable or can it still be adjusted in bios.

do you think the splitter i posted can support 3 of the fans i posted because if yes then ill just buy a second one and that will solve my issue

Yes, it is controllable by PWM. I'm not sure why you would think it isn't.
