She's home, bruised, but otherwise OK.

Thanks very much for asking! ;)

Honestly, it's the emotional side of things that will be the hard part, even with no fault by us. The kids just don't understand.

Sigh. You have to have the bad to know what good is. My kids are in bed, safe, and Rachel is close by. Other car...they are OK too, although a bit more battered. But just a bit, fortunately.

Always wear your seatbelts, folks. :p

Good god. Glad you all are OK, or at least will be soon. I have to commend you for going to the other drivers aid also, I like to think I would in that situation but if someone had done that to my family I don't know.

Glad everyone's ok. From the looks of the cars I'd say you fellas got away pretty much unscathed. I wish you all a speedy recovery.

Happy non-bloody birthday Dave. Time heals all wounds and makes you grateful for what you got.

Incidentally, I flew off a bike last weekend (9 days ago), at about 30 MPH. The next day really did suck, though every one was telling me the 3rd day is usually the worst.

So the other 80 percent of the time that would have saved a life means nothing, wear your seat-belt, it saved my life once and major injury another time.

Glad you are OK, I did the same to a friends windstar van when some drunk part girls turned in front of us, they were OK, but yeah I was sore for the next few days!

    Update:

I've seen my doctor, wife has seen her doctor, kids have appointments tomorrow, still very cautious about my son and his concussion as he's still showing some signs of injury.

I have a feeling this is about to get very complicated as the other driver hasn't contacted their insurance yet, and our insurance had to get the ball rolling there.

So, no more talking about this from me as this progresses into a legal matter.

Thanks again, everyone, for you thoughts, prayers, and comments of support. They all mean a lot to me, and I am eternally grateful. I'm still available via email or PM for any pressing matters, please don't hesitate to contact me if needed, and I will get back to you as soon as I can. Not having a vehicle makes getting to all these appointments rather lengthy to complete and I'm stuck to taxi or bus for the time being until insurance agents get into action, so everything is going to take a bit longer to do right now.

    Again, thank you.

Recovering still, but there will be reviews from me, several, in fact, very soon.

Also, I started back in school on Monday. So I am SUPER busy right now, and will be for the next eight months or so. This whole getting up at 5 AM to get to school on time since our vehicle has yet to be replaced is pretty dreadful.

You and I will be having a chat in a couple of hours or so. ;) And thanks!

    Damn @cadaveca , I noticed in your lastest review of the motherboard you mentioned about the mva, just want to say glad all's getting better. {your family and them}
I've had my 3rd time of some inattinative driver hit, me back in 2012 , it finished me off. My wife was just 2 seconds from getting in that side of the truck. Turns out he had a "fake" insurance card,
32+ years for a company makeing various parts for national security mainly, It was a great job, very labor intinsive though, and yes the insurance is PITA, and no matter what you NEVER are made "whole".

Honestly speaking, OK is relative... wife and oldest son still dealing with concussion issues, documented by both docs and physiotherapist, while having no vehicle really sucks. Just can't find even anything REMOTELY like what we had. As each day goes by, I seem to be getting more and more frustrated with it all, especially now that the school year is well underway, and my homework and assignments start to increase (three papers to write this weekend, + about 10 hours of studying needed. I'm almost at the point of straight up quitting doing reviews because I can't manage my time effectively enough without having a vehicle, and the added time that is involved having to take the bus everywhere. Anyone interested in doing motherboard and memory reviews? :banghead:
