I just got some new Patriot Vipers in a 2x4 arrangement for 8gbs.. before I had 1x4 for 4gbs. The new ram is interesting in that I couldn't get it to run at 850 MHz at 4,4,4,12 at any voltage while the old ram could do it at 2v. What else was interesting was that it could run faster than the old ram could doing 5,5,5,15 @1020 MHz. Is it typical of higher density ram to have a problem specifically with timings and not clock speed?
