I want to compare these 2 processors i7-920 and i7-860 and want to know which processor is better for high definition video editing and also comment about burst pipe?

An OC'd i5 will crush them both.
And an OC'd i7 will make them look like Pentium's.

@ OP, they're both different sockets/chipsets, same CPU basically... just a different name. What you're gonna have to look at is if you want more performance, or save some cash. You're comparing an 1156 (P55 currently) vs 1366 (X58's currently). An X58 setup will run you more vs. a P55. The performance margin is really only by a fraction when comparing the two, but there are differences. What I recommend you do is Google a bit about P55's vs. X58's so you can see the differences and help you decide which route you would prefer.
