High Power also unveiled the Astro PT series of PSUs for gaming and enthusiast PCs. Its showed off a 700W model, featuring a patented LED-based real-time load-meter. Typically, PSUs are most efficient when the load is around half its capacity. This meter updates the user using colorful LEDs: blue for light-load, yellow for the load that's treading into "efficient", and red for high-load/overload. This way, overclockers know if their PSUs are coming in the way of stable CPU and VGA overclocks. The Astro PT 700W PSU is semi modular, with a few important cables being fixed, and sleeved, while redundant cables being modular, and flat. These PSUs boast of 80 Plus Platinum efficiency, feature a single +12V design, and 135 mm golf-surface fan to cool the unit.

Id rather there be a digital display/readout on the side of the PSU that tells me exactly how much power im pulling. but this is kind of usefull too...

the only s**t thing about it is that everytime you want to look at it you need to pull out your pc or attach a mirror behind it so you can see the reflection which is just stupid as the pulling out of the PC distracts you from what youre supposed to be doing

Benchmark Scores Faster than yours... I'd bet on it. :)

This is less of a gimmick than ram LEDs ...but still a gimmick. A lot of people want to know/curious about their power consumption.

Not if the lights are on the back it doesnt... Look more closely at the pic. Unless you have a nasty habit of mounting your PSU the wrong way, In which case you are either a genius or just plan retarded.

(the Kettle lead always goes in from the back!!)

This PSU is perfect for the Pantyhoser:

Besides it and the small number of actual cases with frontal PSU mounting , my guess it that this PSU would be primarily used in tech benches.
