What do ya'll suppose is the highest voltage for a pair of D9 Dominator 1066 stix? (Pretty sure they are D9's, bought them 10/06 when they were all D9's)

Rated at 2.2, and I cap out around 1180 at 2.2v wanted to see if I could push past 1200 with a voltage bump.

This all stems from DaMulta's [FS]100 shipped *NEW* 2x1GB 8500 Gskill. Those are rated for 2.3-2.4v  IMO the dominators have a better heatsink, so are they safe at 2.4v?

:toast:

Some of the Dominator kits are rated at 2.4v, if you have the cooling fans. From what I've seen, they have a fairly high failure rate tho. (Relatively speaking) The max I'm comfortable with is 2.3V on my D9s, and that's with an Antec Spot Cool on them.

Everyone that tries 2.4v on their sticks for 24/7 use, seems to fry them.

lol.

Yeah my pain is I don't seem to get good voltage scaling past 2.1v. It'll do ~1180 @ 2.1v, but not 1200 at 2.25v (furthest i've tried).

I'll leave 'em at 2.15 (4-4-4-12, 900mhz 1:1). I guess I'll have to overvolt when I get my fsb past 600

You can probably tighten those latencies some. Run the sticks at 2.25v again, and I bet you can get 4-4-3or4-5to8

Yeah I've thought about it. Not done finding my 24/7 fsb yet. The chips only broken in since tues and I've had it at both 1.6v and 4.2 (467x9). I may be happy at 450x8(now) as its 1.47v, mem is low v, anbu20its pretty cool/quiet...but once again I can d9 467x8 (and lower x), but not 470 with g=Y multi ..

EDIT:

WTF is g=Y??? I swear i typed ANY!?
