Does this mean it takes 64 HDD on that single card?

Yes it would mean the card can "manage" 64 HDDs but one would wonder what the effective data throughput is with this card and 16+ SATA HDDs.

EJ340 has four SFF-8087 connectors, each connector can support 4 SATA 6G Hard disks, so all connectors support 16 hard disks.
