I used an Excelstor in my sisters computer, seems like a nice hd. I certainly suggest it over a Maxtor :nutkick:

Excelstor used to be OEM for WD, I have received a refurbished drive from WD which came from Excelstor's warehouse/factory.

Don't remember which one, but all the refurbs are working fine (except one that I killed).

I have seen several Maxtors burn out, and never seen a WD. I have never owned a Seagate or Samsung. WD and Excelstors are the only thing I think I would buy now days.

Some Maxtors are still out there, even at Newegg. They may have been purchased out but all parts are not sold out.
