That's why they give you the option to V-Sync to half the refresh rate. As long as you can maintain above 30FPS, your smooth.

But that doesn't mean 30fps is fine, there are still solutions left such as adaptive sync. Point is, be it at 60 or 30 you can still venture into "unplayable" territory so to speak. It's no bullshit.

i already laughed hard on this dx11 things and now hairworks option ... oh shit, really? lol lol lol

There's no Hairworks options in this game, just watch DF video here (skip to 0:33) :
Also, the game does not even support HBAO or HBAO+ (NVIDIA preferred AO), only SSAO.

No, the assumption that anything under 60FPS is always unplayable is 100% bullshit.

Frame pacing. A 60 fps V-sync game with slight frame drops can feel worse than a locked 30.
I have adaptive vsync to take care of that.

Yep. We all do. Vya Domus, welcome to 2012.

My comment , post #51 from above:

Welcome to "reading before you post", any year you fancy. It's a recurring theme.

Soo, 2080 Ti at 4K average 60FPS? Yeah, that's great, but as it've already been mentioned - there's alot of frames below 59FPS mark (Or even 45? - then it's awfull).
I mean, it's not MINIMUM 60FPS at 4K - so one argument less for that crazy price, huang.

I'm looking to get this game I got the last Hitman on PC but I'm wondering if Hitman 2 will run well enough on my PC as I've upgraded my monitor since last game from 1080p to 4k but not upgraded components and this game only supports DX11 which AMD is not so good with I'm not expecting 4k but I don't think 1080p would look good on 4k monitor so I'd like to aim for 1440p as it scales better. I have a PS4 Pro so I could get it for that I guess but I'd lose out on the bonus from having the previous game on same platform so I'd probably rather update my GPU which I plan to do in the next year.

PC Spec is:
  • i7 6700K 4Ghz
  • 16GB DDR4
  • AMD R9 390X 8GB
So what FPS, resolution, texture detail etc could I aim for?

Thanks
