CarMan (The Dell Optiplex 745)CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Revision G0RAM: 8GB DDR2 (4x2) PC2-6400 Nanya TechnologiesGPU: ATi Radeon HD 3850 (695MHz Core) (801MHz Mem w/ WLB-X One of a Kind) [STOCK CARD]MOBO: Dell Optiplex Motherboard [BIOS 2.6.6 (6.26.11)]PSU: Insignia 450 Watt Power Supply (Removed Floppy connection and some other cables)Case: Generic Dell Optiplex 745 Case with a few stickers on it, looks very Stock. (FUNCTION OVER FORM)Disclaimer: THIS IS NOT A GAMING PC, Designed for CryEngine 2 Combat Scenario Simulation.Dell XPS M1730:Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 2.4GHzNVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX SLi (One GPU Disabled for heat issues through MediaDirect Mode)4GB DDR2 667MHz(A11 BIOS 11/3/11)Dell Precision M6400Intel Core 2 Extreme X9100 3.06GHzNVIDIA Quadro FX 3700M12GB DDR3 (Never utilize fully even with 12 chrome tabs open)(A13 BIOS 6/5/13)Most of the time my Dell Precision M6400 is just a dumb terminal, but when I need a Desktop GPU on the go, I have one.My XPS M1730 has embarrassing battery life with 1 hour even with 1 GPU disabled due to the added circuitry. Best use is either Tolerance Control or Gaming. This one is a HORRIBLE LAPTOP but (Trance-Edition) or my main XPS with a Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000 @ 3.4GHz OC and NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX SLi cant even stay on and will shut off if you do anything on it if your not VERY careful; It's a Desktop in a Laptop Chassis. The Systems on the bottom of the desk.Dell PowerEdge R410Intel Xeon E5620 Quad Core 2.4GHz4GB DDR3 ECC (Runs 24/7)Dell Optiplex 760Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz6GB DDR2 RAMHP G56AMD Athlon ii P340 2.2GHz Dual CoreATi Radeon Mobility HD 4200 Graphics4GB DDR3 RAM (This is a CryEngine 2 Boat PC)And the battery works too.
Mods:
CarMan(here goes cringy)Motherboard has the bottom PCI-E x1 slot sawed on the back of the connection allowing a x16 slot card to fit in. It was an attempt to get a larger GPU in there but I gave up. system is technically CrossFire capable as I have a spare HD 3850 lying around but decided against it as first I don't have the correct PSU and second it just is not worth it for my needs!Power supply has multiple cables cut off and directly wired to the LOUD AS HELL Delta fans inside the computer, No Molex connections. Each Fan has their own connection, no connections shared as each fan can take up-to 16 Watts. It replaces a water-cooler but it's extremely loud. I don't care about the noise I actually like it. (x1 92mm Delta @ x1 180mm Delta)Everything in the CarMan system is ZIP Tied together, don't want anyone down the road to change alot of things. You can upgrade the GPU with no issues, Swap RAM, even change the Hard-drive but I designed CarMan to run 24/7 and the air-flow is perfect and cables wont get stuck in the fan. Didn't want anyone disassembling it unless they are a skilled Professional with years of training.
Designed for CryEngine 2 Simulation. Can run a variety of Combat Applications.1. CryEngine 22. Crysis 2 (POST-HUMAN DIFFICULTY)3. Crysis (Physics Simulations or Combat)4. A wide variety of Games can be used to emulate if tuned exactly correctly to meet a specific application need. What I can use for example1. Microsoft Flight Simulator2. Minecraft (Redstone Computers w/ hundreds of connections)3. Google Sketchup 8I use a wide variety of Photoediting and Videoediting software. For my Ray-Tracing videos I export them twice for redundancy of Special Subliminal Features. I tuned pretty much every knob the Software allows to reach a perfect image quality or purpose of look. My videos are more advanced that applying 1 or 2 settings. I apply 20 settings on a single clip.Photoshop CS6VideoPad Video EditorWavePadMicrosoft Paint (yes funny and all but sometimes I only use it for simple text adding or cropping a photo. Photoshop CS6 is my main photo editor.
