Kind of an odd introductory post but oh well.
Hi I'm new here.

Now that the formalities are over I have perhaps odd question for the crew here.

If some one handed you a blank cheque to build a ridiculous manageable/over capacity home network just what would you choose...

Requirements:

Enterprise level management
>=100 MB WAN uplink
Gigabit Ethernet speed service to >6 systems
802.11N service
IPv6
The normal alphabet soup (256 AES, NAT, SPI, VPNs, RADIUS, WPA2, PPTP, VLAN's, QoS, 802.1Q, 802.1X, yadda yadda yadda)

Restrictions:
No Fibre....... O.k. maybe a little fiber but only for uplinks between network devices.

For simplicities sake:
Let's say everything is in one spot (or the uplink and trunking permutations become absurd)
And maybe avoid the nuclear option(Cisco 6513, Brocade DCX, 3Com 8800)

p.s. I guess I'm not truly spec'ing out for the ultimate as I've skipped trunked 10GbE system service, 40Gbps WDMPOS, and OC768c connectivity. But all that is just crazy talk anywho.

if it were me, and im crazy, I'd go with an avila gateworks router, and some kind of gigabit switch, that would work pretty awesomely, altho with openWRT + X-Wrt you dont get the support you get with cisco :?
