I think this is where this question should go. I have a Gateway lcd monitor. ON the back it has the yellow s-video hookup and a red, green and blue composite hookup. I really want to hook up my wii to my monitor to play, and i have the s-video hookup. I plugged in the yellow and i get picture to work. I just cant get sound. Do the red and white s-video hookups match up with the composite hookups, or will i never be able to get sound.

You mean by the vga cable right? Or dvi, doesn't matter they both only transmit video one way. You got to buy the composite to mini-jack cable then plug the wii into the computer or speakers.

Yeah, unless your monitor has a sound out (not the same as microphone btw) into the computer. Even so idk if the monitor would have built in switching etc etc

Do you have a radio shack by your house? I'm trying to find a link right now.

They should, they got me the right cable before. You're looking for a female composite connection with two things (for the audio) to male mini jack (if you have a input on your computer, if not get a female mini jack and plug the speakers straight in). Something along those lines. GL.

If I understand you correctly, you want to use your computer speakers with your Wii, right?

Well what I did for my 360 was to get the red and white cables and plugged it into this.
But since the output is male and speaker inputs are also usually male, you use this to connect them together. I'd take a pic but my dad's camera has some funky proprietary storage media. I'll upload it later.
