wow nice to see a warranty on recerts. its also interesting to note that soem manufacturers only give 1 year warrantied new. lol

pretty nice prices might have to check up on them after the r800 release to see if any of those pop in there.

I think your wrong.

I agree, I have bought 4 Evga GTX260 at $154 a pop. They step up just like everything else and have 90 day warranty from the time of registration. They work just like the new ones I bought and are good bang for the buck especially if you are buying several.

I suggest people read this :D I mean, I probably will always buy XFX for their low prices which include lifetime warranty and their great service

I wouldnt get to excited on "Lifetime" warranty's..First XFX has pretty poor customer service (but the sexi Black PCBs, lol), and second I dont know about you but how long are you planning to use the card?

its more a gimmick to attract people to their product (kind of like the step up with EVGA)

(However the 1 year XFX is a lot better than the 90 day EVGA one on recert cards if it matters to you)\

Another example of poor customer service/silly warranty is Sparkle, supposedly has 36 mos. I had 2 9600GTs that had dead external display boxes and Sparkles answer to me was get a 800 watt PS(for a pair of 9600GTs, lol) Because the cards have 2 fans each for cooling....

Save money any way you can and even a few bucks is better than nothing...

I have heard many horror stories from people about XFX, even though all my personal experiences have been good, they are a bit slow to react. The last Support ticket I sent in about my GTX 280, I got a phone call withing 12 hours of posting the ticket ;)

Customer service has a lot to do with your patience level (mine is very low)
I was on another forum before and they had an "on call" xfx rep...He wasent much help to me either with 7600GS or 7950s...)
And after several tries of me contacting their CS and waiting almost a week they never got back to me, I gave up and returned my GTS250, (3 for 3 = fail)

there are some that are good deals, but of course not all of them are.

and granted the clocks are slightly higher ont he retail gtx285 but I shrug that off easily. besides I've bought many things recertified off of newegg without issue and I rarely keep my primary card for more than a year.

Bought it when it was $142 shipped. Contacted ASUS on if they would honor the warranty on it it and the tech replied saying the one word I love to hear-
"Yes. We will warranty Newegg Open-Box Products for 3 years from date of purchase"
These are also 1st Generation HD4850s which explains the price hike. They overclock better and will last longer than the 2nd and 3rd generation counterparts. So you get your money's worth in this case.
