how acurate is the bios cpu temp reading?

my bios tell me my cpu is running at 16*c..how accurate are bios temp readings? im running a thermal take water cooling with a 3 fan radiator(only cooling the cpu) thanks.

That depends on other things besides the motherboard, first the room temperature and second the processor used.
But usually BIOS reading are very accurate.

no idea on room temp but processor is a Q8300 @ 3.0ghz

Depends on CPU and mobo i find mobos fairly accurate but intels 45nm chips for the most part low temps are wrong.

Be much easier for people to help you if they know what your system is.

First of all motherboard sensors aren't built around any standard so can vary wildly. 16*c is only 60*f and that a very low temp even for idle. I don't think that's accurate unless the ambient temp in the room is pretty cold and Thermaltake water isn't exactly known for high quality and efficiency (no offense it's simply a fact or at least it definitely used to be).
