Anybody know how to remove the cover/fan shroud from an EVGA 550 Ti? It seems to be glued on tight and I don't want to break it but need to remove it for deep cleaning of the heat sink fins and fan blades.. Can't find anything on Google...

Looking online it seems the entire cooler is held in place with the metal bracket and four screws on the back of the card. As long as those are out the card should come free of the GPU.

I will say this though, pulling the cooler when the card is warm is easier. The TIM applied from the factory has a very good grasp on the cooler and IHS, and usually warming the card a bit prior to dismantling it will help with getting the TIM to release. Even them it does take a fair bit of force to break it lose, just be smart about it and don't flex the card too bad, just keep the pressure on it and it should break free and almost fall apart once you get it to that point.

Some cards use an adhesive for the GPU>HSF. Heat it up to ~100C and the Heatsink should come right off (if you removed all the right screws). Use a slight twisting motion on the cooler to break the bond.
