How does this system build look to you guys?

I am looking to build a system in the price range like the one I have linked here.

If you guys have some tips etc? please feel free to share your input

I am looking to play games all the way up to the modern games. No, I do not have to have a GTX Titan etc. as it is out of my budget.

These are the parts I have right now.

1. 650 Watt Antec PSU.

2. MSI GTX 560 Ti 448 core Twin Frozr.

3. HDD is covered as well as DVD drive.

4. Keyboard, Mouse.

5. 22 inch Dell monitor.

I think the 7850 or 7870 is the best for the $, depending on the sale.

For PSUs I like the capstone rosewill.

And I think I'll avoid talking about CPUs if it's all the same. Let's just say that's preference.

Budget is right around $350.00

The parts I have listed in my post are what I have at home.

look through that website, and look at the parts you want. a lot of the time they dont post their in store prices which are always a lot lower than whats on the website. I live about 15 minutes away from one, and sometimes I cant believe the instore prices. I think last time i was in there the 965 was going for 85bucks and the 1060t was going for 100bucks

plus they always have combo deals cpu + mobo, and be sure to ask the associate for coupons. I helped my friend build a rig with a 1500 budget, we did research on newegg and frys and even on microcenters website, we were expecting to spend a lil over, we went in store and he ended up save 300 bucks with the sales and coupons the associate offered

It's an FX-6300, ASUS 970 LE R2.0, HAF 212 case, Patriot 2x4gb 1866mhz memory, Hyper 212EVO cooler...

If your willing to go with a lesser unneeded case and a lesser unneeded cooler you can do an Intel I5 3570 setup which is wayyyyy better than the FX-6300...btw the FX-6300 is wayyyy better than the 965

Very good point! A lot of AMD's new procs are a bargain, so why buy old parts? And if you have a few more $ in your budget, go Intel (another good point).

I wish I could go higher on my budget. But, I can't. $380 after taxes is pretty much my limit.

The reason I was looking at the Phenom 965 is because all of the attention it garnered.

I understand it is older, but I am just looking for something that will run games and everyday tasks.

If I can find an FX series chip for cheap? I will go that route

It's not as good for games as its basically a dual core with Hyperthreading...it does have a better memory controller in it that makes it almost as fast though...

The 6100 is better though and so is the 6300...
Don't get me wrong the 965 is a good cpu and it Overclocks well...
As long as you can OC it 3.7ghz you're good for just about any game....
Not sure why but 3.7ghz seems to be the sweet spot for AMD cpu's and gaming...
I have a Phenom II x2 560 dual core that unlocked to a quad core and OC really good...I tested it all the way up to 4.1ghz and found there really wasn't any improvement in performance over 3.7ghz...I think your GPU is more important after that...
I have a 6950 which is about the same performance as your 560ti


All that said...If you can take that trek over to Microcenter I would...for $380 you can have a way better longer lasting setup...
If you go on their site look under AMD Bundles and Intel Bundles..Its under the Computer Parts Tab...They already have lower prices then you will find online plus you get $40 off any motherboard with the purchase of the processors listed and it's not limited to the motherboards listed..its any compatible motherboard but it has to be those processors.
