I am currently running a 4200+ at 1.575 V-core (Stock 1.35) My temps are VERY low
(36c max under full load) with a current 500mhz OC. I want to get a better OC but the trend I have seen with this power hungry chip is that I will probabally need to turn my
V-core up to at least 1.65 or 1.675 a full .325 overvolt.

I have looked everywhere online but cannot find the limitations on this chip.

Any past experiences or advise?

Thanks:toast:

I've seen people run 939's at 1.6v, but the life expectancy will be much shorter. Pushing too many volts will cause current leakage in the transistors, temps don't matter at that point.

I'm on AM2, but on my old X2 3800+ Windsor (90nm, 1.35v), it didn't like anything past 1.55v. I think you may already be pushing it.

i wouldn´t go any higher than 1.55. when i tried to hit 2.8GHz with my opty i gave her 1.6 , but still wasn´t stable and the temps were off the wall (+60°C) :shadedshu

EDIT: nvm, i see you´re on wc... no experience here...

Yeah I have never seen a 939 chip above 1.625 man, I reckon it wouldn't last to long at that either, maybe 1yr.

Nice temps :rockout: though they don't mean everything.

mine is 90nm and stock voltage is 1.3v and 89 watts but like zek said ur voltages are high and ur lowering the life expectancy
