How much do you spend on headset/headphones?

This poll needs higher options. The cheapest pair of headphones that I own still cost me ~$150 USD.

I own Denon AH-D5000 - $500, plus hand-made extra-thick leather pads - $90
Audio Technica ATH-M50, 50th Anniversary Edition with removable cable mod - $150
KRK KNS-8400 - $150

Amp is a Schiit Asgard - $250
DAC is HRT Music Streamer II + - $350

I also have a FiiO E7 portable DAC/amp - $90

And I briefly owned Beyerdynamic DT 990 Premium 600ohm headphones before returning and getting the Denons - $250

Budgeted $100 for some....... haven't found that perfect one just yet....but when i do , its up to $100

You probably aren't going to find perfect for $100. You can find good with some flaws, but not perfect. I've invested roughly $1000 into my main headphone listening setup and I still don't think it's "perfect". It is very good, yes, but not perfect. It is just a matter of how much you are willing to sacrifice and/or how much you are willing to pay for increasingly small gains (just like PC hardware really).

edit: If you look around, you can usually get the Audio-Tehcnica ATH-M50 for close to $100. IMO, that's as good as it gets in that price-range.

I would be willing to spend up to $125 at most for a headset/headphones. But so far, the $30 each I've spent on my JVC HA-RX700's and the ARCTIC P531's, I've been more than happy and haven't sought out a new pair.

Bowers & Wilkins P5 as I was after a relatively portable over or around ear design that didn't need a headphone amp. Got them about 2 and a half years ago. Super awesome indeed, I won't be needing to replace them for years and years me thinks.

I have $100 logitech g930's and yesterday I just got a shure se215 iem($99). Even though the shure were intended for mobile I may just get a xonar dg and use it instead of the g930 since it sounds so much crisper.

Honestly, if you're looking at an expensive pair of cans, used is the way to go as long as the seller has taken good care of them.
Usually when you buy used, they've already had their drivers broken in and you get a great deal. That's how I picked up my HD650s for $280, I bought them used from a member on a hi-fi forum. He had only put about 250 hours on them(from a smoke- and pet-free home, nonetheless!) and decided he like his Grado GS1000s better, so he sold them at less than half-price with all the accessories.
