How much has your GPU performance increased on your current platform (socket)

What did you start with on your current platform and what did you end up with ?
Did you have to upgrade the cpu in the process ?

Went from 8600k & GTX 1060 3GB to 9700k and GTX 1660ti on my Z370 mobo

Edit; According to the TPU chart that's a 51% GPU increase

1080ti to 2080ti... not the most cost effective upgrade but needed it as the 1080ti was struggling with the ultrawide pretty noticeably.

By platform you mean a CPU + motherboard combo ? I got this Z370+i5 8600k back in autum of 2017, went from a 980Ti to a 1070Ti and now an RTX 2080, so i would say about 50% in 1440p.
But i should have waited with my Z77 + 3770k for another two years and get a nice Ryzen 3700x in 2019. Oh well, maybe i will get an B550 board with a Ryzen 4600 this summer/autum of 2020.
Too bad they don't make motherboards with PCI slots and i will have to ditch out my XFI Music.

if vram was the point then a sidegrade since no performance lost was the motivation,not gained.

I started with two 780 Ti's but I removed one to cut down on heat and power usage since I don't really play games anymore. The few games I do play still run more than well enough with just one anyway.

Those tables are too generic. I got about 50% on average in the games i play. Since a GTX 980Ti is stock at 1000Mhz iirc and most of them come overclocked from the factory, and they gain about 10-20% more performance.

yeah i second that-for lower noise- with my reference blower 1080ti which got an old unused morpheus slapped on it

980 ti the last gpu who gave frames for more mhz-my 1080ti seems to dont mind giving moar frames running undervoltet on 1800mhz fixed or with boost to 200mhz more

before I had z77 with 2500K paired with 7870ghz,r9 290 trix,then two in CF (hated it),then gtx 980,then 980Ti.when I went 144hz I just had to ditch z77 in favor of 4790K.

R9 Fury -> GTX980Ti -> GTX1080Ti

I managed to sell the R9 Fury right at the end of mining craze, which means that a 220$ (after 20$ MIR) card was sold for 350$. I picked up the GTX980Ti for 300$ and pocketed the difference, and eventually picked up an RMA return GTX1080Ti in January of 2019.

I had a GTX 950 Xtreme '~stock 1050 perf' when I built this Ryzen system in 2018 May and then a few months later bought this RX 570 4g.

I do plan on another GPU upgrade this year,something like the 1660 super or slightly better if 5600 XT turns out well.

This system started with 2x HD5870's, then went to a 7970, then two 7970's and now a RX480.

The RX480 is less heat than the 5870's, and about 2x performance.

When I upgrade again, it's will be a Threadripper, so this one is as good as it's probably going to get.
