first thing i said too..

Get a reputable PSU brand or risk ur entire computer.

Corsair is my personal favorite.

Also 8GB of "Gaming RAM" in a ddr3 system doesnt make sense as I cant think of a combo that would allow that to run in tri channel.. so look for a decent 3x2GB set.

O and none of your links actually work for me..

Edit:
You didnt list a OS or hard drives.. incase u forgot ;)

And the case is a small fortune in itself, theirs cheaper options with just as good looks and airflow

Isn't the question how much would you pay? Seems like this system already exists and he wants an appraisal. I'd say $850 just cause I'd need to replace the supply.

haha ya i was thinking that..

I'd honestly say $700 tops cause you can build the same system with smarter parts for cheaper then what he's problly gonna ask for

Kingwin isn't too shabby. They've done some solid 80+ units. Just because you've not heard about them in the US doesn't mean they suck.

No HD, but he'll install WIn7.

I think he'll take $1000, maybe $900. Don't think he'll go lower.

I'll see if I can fix the links.

The seller advertised parting it out, but he's going to put it together for me.

Could do it myself, but I don't think he's charging extra.

I have to agree here, $700 to $750 at tops. As was also stated, you could build basically the same system for around that price point and have a completely brand new system!

Also, Kingwin has been around for many years, but until recently had kind of "sub-par" products.

Here's what I'm figuring new:

SilverStone Raven RV02 High Performance Cooling Case - $180
KingWin LaZer 750w Fully Modular Power Supply - $120
MSI Platinum SLI x58 ATX Socket 1366 Motherboard - $200
Core i7 920 Quad Core Processor - $250
8Gb G-Skill RipJaws DDR3 High Performance Gaming RAM(Brand New) - $90
EVGA 012-P3-1570-AR GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB 320-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - $350
Acer H233H 23-Inch Widescreen LCD Display - $200
Win7 - $70

That's taking me to $1460 + shipping. Plus he's going to put it together and install the HD.

Hard to believe he would take ~$700 or 1/2 off, or I could build this myself for this price. I'm in th middle of nowhere so everything would have to be shipped.

Ami I missing anything?

These are new/used prices I would go by:
RV02 - 160/135
Lazer 750W - 109/90
MSI Platinum - 225/200 (spot on)
i7 920 - 255/190
Ripjaws - Depends on model
012-P3-1570-AR - 360/325
LCD - 180/140
Windows 7 - 70 -You got good pricing depending on version

So as you can see you are at ~$1200 + cost of optical/hdd's

EDIT:
That specific Kingwin is very very nice.

where are you from because in the USA thats wack

more like case = $100 live with it
750w corsair unit or equiv = $99
X58 mobo $160
i7 930 $200 or there about get it off ebay and save some money seen a 950 go for $190 earlier
screw 8gb ram its i7 on x58 that is TRIPLE FUCKING CHANNEL NOT DUAL CHANNEL aka 3x2gb ram $80
gtx 570 $350 or ati 6950 at $300 unlock it to 6970 for free and get higher performance
1920x1080 display look around far better units for less $135
Win7 $99

thats about $1100 NEW

his parts are USED thus asking retail price = retarded if you buy used for retail prices it dosent put you in a good light either. This isnt rocket science its a rip off

since the rig is used id say $800 tops otherwise your just paying more when buying each part youself and looking for good deals is cheaper. THat and if your unwilling to actually build it yourself and learn to do it right go buy a prebuilt. Harsh yes blunt honest yes.

I'd pay around 900 for that assuming the parts are valued as you listed. People have different views on the value of things. For the most part I wouldn't pay more than 2/3 the value of any hardware component if it's a day old in someone elses machine.

But he's installing it, go try to find a pre-configured i7 with those specs.

You get lower prices from people on this forum because for many a lot of the fun is trying to put a great machine together as inexpensively as possible.

He said he had 12 GB of Ram, but fried 4 GB. That's why there's only 8.

I think he's including an optical drive.

Agreed! Means the IMC may be degraded also on that 920. Going to definitely want to shop around now.

yup id walk to even if the CPU is fine the DIMM slots that ram occupied could be fried or damaged and even if it all works its now more liable to fail due to previous issues.

This sounds like someone who fucked up there rig and put a bandaid over it and now is trying to sell it off for as much as possible so they can start fresh
