What do you know! There is video editing software in 2022 that doesn't support GPU acceleration out-of-the-box. And it's Adobe Premiere Elements, none of the less. It seems that just a few GPUs are supported, while many others display "Detected Graphic Processor(GPU) is unsupported" message.

This is how you can get it fixed:

Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Premiere Elements\20.0\Online\Hw Acc Render\All_Lang\HW\Files\

Edit allowlisted_cards.txt

Add your GPU to the list, if it's Nvidia, it should be in the following format:

NVIDIA#GeForce RTX 3090#

For AMD GPUs, you need to add in the GFXID format, you can use the TPU database, for instance, RX 6600 XT would be like this:

AMD#gfx1032#

For Intel GPUs it should be:

Intel#Intel(R) UHD Graphics 617#

Now you can enable GPU acceleration from the application general settings.
