It doesn't seem that anyone else is having same issue, so I'm guessing my case is unique ;). I haven't tried other OSes cause I've got only 1 PC and I'm too lazy to set up another partition and go through the whole process of installing windows. Since my windows is 7 32 bit, perhaps this behavior wouldn't exist with 64 bit version. Oddly enough it only concerns 260.63 driver.,,is the 0.9b patch aimed specifically towards 258 or should it work with 260 flawlessly as well? I find it interesting rather than annoying. Thanks!

but i want to find out
OK, you guys spend so much time giving the community the patches, I guess I can move my arse and spend some time installing Windows ;). I'll get a spare hdd from my mate this weekend and will install windows 7 64 bit to check if it has the same issues with 260.63, just give me 1 or 2 days to report, ok? :)
Interesting, looks like 260.63 drivers are giving headaches to other people as well, even APC_INDEX_MISMATCH bsod, very interesting!

Darn, I'll have to reinstall my testing xp64 install. The slipatch 0.9 gives that error as soon as I execute it. I put 0.8 in instead hoping to use the slipatcher 1.1 , but the file it wants to patch does not exist in the XP64 driver. So they must have the protection in a different file under XP64, the buggers! The first time I ran the 0.9 patch, it gave that error, I clicked okay, and it continued, it added the slienabled entry, and when I tried to boot, it gives a hal.dll not found error. Hmmm. So I'll do a clean install, and note every error in detail this time....

It'll have to wait until tomorrow. I kind of messed up the install by now, so I'll do a clean install with fresh 258 drivers. Doesn't take long from flash drive, but it's late here. I'm also going to do an image backup first, so I don't have to keep reinstalling!

Hi all, I am new here. I would like to post some screenshot of my system. I ran the Heaven benchmark twice with all setting to extreme and 8x AA, got the score of 932. Great performance from SLI. Very big thanks to anatolymik for his great work!

I will keep trying other games and report to all soon.

Can someone tell me why there is no SLI enable option in 260.63 when no SLI bridge is used?

Test with nv 190.62 driver:

0). clean and fresh win 7 64 install
1). Delete curent drivers in control panel.
2). Restart
3). Boot in safe mod
4). clean all nvidia sections with driver sweeper.
5). reboot

6). instal SLI patch 0.9b

7). boot on sli mode

8). restart

first:
You see a problem in device/hardware manager, error message code 43.
(Code 43:
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43))

I get this error only with 2 cards on my x48 mainboard. Both cards works on singel mode without any problems.
I test the sli mode with both cards on my x58 mainboard and all works without problems.

- you find some user with same problem:
http://forums.nvidia.com/lofiversion/index.php?t29873.html

second:
you can see wrong values on gpu-z, i thinks is comes from error on the device manager.

I believe this is the process

1. ) Deleted current drivers in control panel.
2. ) Restarted
3. ) Boot in safe mod
4. ) clean all nvidia sections with driver sweeper.
5. ) rebooted
6. ) installed 258.96 drivers
7. ) restarted
8. ) installed SLI patch 0.9b
9. ) restarted
10 .) and enabled SLI

BUT, can someone that has it working sucessfully, tell me when in the middle of that, to add my second graphics card?

ok plz guys Heeelp me on these 2 questions!!!!!

1) which is the oldest nvidia driver i can use with gtx 260 216 core? 197.75 says " cannot find driver for your hardware etc..."

2) Is it possible when i have 2*gxtx260 the power draw to unstabilize the voltage on my motherboard (northbridge, southbridge, vcore) and force my over clocked system into blue screens???? I have pcp&c 750 watt, q9550 overclocked at 3,9 in maximus formula x38.....

Analysis of the Dawn War 2 problem:

1)sli patch + sli enabled =crash to desktop within 5 minutes of play
2)sli patch + sli disabled= crash to desktop within 15 minutes of play
3)sli patch + sli disabled +second gtx 260 disabled on system tab= crash to desktop within 15 minutes of play
4)no sli patch + second gtx 260 disabled on system tab= crash to desktop within 15 minutes of play
5) remove one card all is well!

also 5870 + 8800gts for physx crash to desktop within 15 minutes of play,
remove 8800gts and leave 5870 all is well

Can the Crash to Desctop and blue screens on DOW2 be because of powerdraw +system overclock? EVEN with second card disabled on system tab, even with no slipatch but just

any ideas????

restart isnt good enough somehow.

you need to shutdown, unplug power cord, power on (this drains all leftover juice), plug cord back in and then power on

that is the correct way to do it.....EVERYTIME.....if you ever read something that says restart "JUST SAY NO" and do the above procedure.

Hi, Anatoly!

First of all i wanted to tell that i really appreciate work and effort u are putting in those SLI patches.

I wanted to let u know my opinion of sli patch 0.9.

I really loved patch version 0.8, because it was fully transparent because it was windows batch file. But in patch 0.9 i cant really see what modifications @ my system your patch performs.

I totally understand that for most ppl this patch is fine, but i am sure there are ppl out there who are curious about such non-transparent process.

I would be very happy if u also published cracked files and manual instructions, how to apply it.

For example, to apply pre-0.9 patch, i had to copy 3 cracked system files to win dir and create new bootconfig entry. I would be very happy if i could do smth like that with 0.9 patch.

Thank you for reading my message! I will totally understand if u decide to ignore my suggestion.

It would be nice to know which system files were changed/added.

who knows? it would be the easiest way to directly ask you what you have done, to make it easier for them to undo that.
In fact i would find it more convenient, to not tell anybody that does not need it much about the inner workings of the patch... or do you really want to go open source? :)
just my 2 cents;)

they don't need to ask me because they know their own protection. and they know that it doesnt work anymore. that's enough. NV are not fools
