How to improve wireless signal

Does any one know the best way to improve the signal streagth, of a Linsys wireless G router to a computer using a pci adapter?

I suggest moving the antennas you have around, getting better (aka high-gain) antennas, and otherwise removing obstacles between the router and PC.

ive seen replacment antenna kits at bestbuy and walmart (go figure) to replace the 4db antennas with 7db ones i think..

i reset my router, and it gives me better speeds at times...

Oh yeah one more thing...change the wifi channel. I get like 50% signal on channel 5 as opposed to 20% on channel 11. There are all sorts of crazy tweaks, play around.

yea.. Myself I have a amd turion laptop, and it gets an amazing signal all around the house (with the first srx router when they were a little over 200$). All I did was take out the wep, change channel, put a different key channel, and I was set..

K, so with mine, I have the antenas wrapped in aluminum foil... makes them work better.

Thanks guys for all your imput. I have tryed putting the rounter in mutlible spots, even going as far as attatching the PCI card antena to a wire with an alegator clip, helped a bit. I think im going to just go ahead and get a booster.
